22 But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause[a] will be subject to judgment, and whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca,’[b] will have to answer to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of hell[c] fire.

23 “So if you are about to offer your gift at the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother. Then come and offer your gift.
